Nick DeCaprio

My name is Nick DeCaprio and I am a Service Technician for Higgins Energy Alternatives. I clean, service, and repair all wood, pellet and gas hearth systems and chimneys for our customers. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, going to car shows, and having adventures on my motorcycle. I have worked in many different fields, including restaurants, auto repair, landscaping, and motorcycle sales. I have worked for the Higgins family for over a year now and am extremely excited to build career here. We have a great team and I love to meet new people every day.

Nick’s experience & certifications:

I have 1.5 years of experience in the hearth industry and I have received specialized training from Harman on Harman pellet stoves, including basic stove operation, troubleshooting, and repairs.

If you could share one piece of advice with homeowners about their stoves or fireplaces, what would it be?

You can never clean your stove enough. One thing I always say is that customers might be surprised to discover all the smallest nooks and crannies that ash can find its way into. It takes a lot if attention to detail to clean your stove thoroughly, and that same attention to detail is what myself and my teammates are trained in.
